BOWLING WRAPS UP NAIA WEST REGIONAL

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Avila men's and women's bowling wrapped up the NAIA West Regional over the weekend as the team looks to peak at the right time with the season winding down.

On Saturday, the men finished 3-2, finishing with a total pinfall of 4,632. The Eagle women left Saturday's competition with a 2-3 record after knocking down 4,022 total pins on the first day.

Sunday was the day where the two squads looked to redeem themselves. The Avila men finished Sunday in fourth place after 25 Baker games, knocking down 5,030 pins in the competition for a per-game average of 201.2.

The women finished Sunday in seventh place overall with a score of 4,404, averaging 176.2 on the day.

Both programs have next weekend off before traveling to Indianapolis for the Hoosier Classic on February 15 and 16.
