
TENNIS FALLS TO BETHANY IN FIRST HOME MATCHES
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hosting its first home event in program history, Avila tennis lost both men's and women's duals to Bethany on Tuesday, 7-0.
At the Plaza Tennis Center, the Eagles had a number of learning opportunities against a well-established Swedes program.
Despite the 7-0 scoreline, Avila's young team had quite a few close matches. Ava Healy played tough in the #4 women's singles match, falling 7-5, 6-3, (10-2).
Danielle Jean-Louis had very competitive doubles and singles matches on the afternoon, losing a tightly-contested #1 singles match, 6-4, 6-4 after teaming up with Kylee Bragaw in their doubles match, falling 6-2.
On the men's side, Caige Bjornstad fell 6-1, 6-2 in the #2 men's singles match while Dominic Lunn held tough, losing 6-1, 6-1.
