
MEN’S WRESTLING OPENS SEASON WITH LOSS TO NO. 7 EMBRY RIDDLE
WICHITA, Kan. – Avila men's wrestling kicked off its fourth season with a daunting task, as the Eagles fell to No. 7 Embry Riddle on Friday night, 50-6.
In the 133-pound class, Ryan McNeel lost by decision, 17-13, while Memphis Schulz lost in a technical fall, 18-2.
Avila's seven other wrestlers, Sullivan Ruiz (141), Terrell Carter-Williams (149), Keenan Tumbarello (165), Kendric Gordon (174), Joshua Martinez (184), Blake Becker (197) and Gavin Howes (285) lost by fall.
The Eagles are right back in action on Saturday as they will participate in the Falcon Open in Park City, Kan., beginning at 9 AM.
