MEN’S WRESTLING WRAPS UP GRAND VIEW OPEN

DES MOINES, Iowa – Continuing their solid start to the season, Avila men's wrestling competed in the Grand View Open in Iowa on Saturday and had a number of solid contributors.

Logan Johnson went 3-2 in his five matches and picked up 5.5 points for the Eagles. Johnson won via fall, tech fall and decision before falling in the second championship round and fourth consolation round.

In the 149-pound class, Terrell Carter-Williams finished 1-2, securing five points for Avila. The senior won his match via fall.

Additionally, Luke Ward ended his competition going 1-2 for three points in the 141-pound class.

Kendric Gordon (184), Corey Holmes (184), Sullivan Ruiz (Fresh/Soph 141), Memphis Schulz (Fresh/Soph 149) also picked up wins for Avila throughout the competition.
