Matti Morgan enters her third season as an assistant coach at Avila in 2023-24 after beginning her coaching career at Avila on Remy Wolfe's inaugural coaching staff. 

Standout doesn't even begin to describe the playing career of Matti Morgan, who is one of the most decorated and accomplished athletes in Avila history. Morgan completed her collegiate career with 2,207 points (16.8/game), both of which are the best marks in program history. As a captain of an Eagle team that made it to the KCAC Tournament Championship Final in 2021-22, Morgan was the KCAC Player of the Year, First-Team All-KCAC, Second-Team All-American and she took home her third Avila Athletics Female Athlete of the Year Award.

After graduating from Avila with her Bachelor's in Nursing as well as an MBA, Matti, a native of Paola, Kan., works as a full-time nurse at St. Luke's in downtown Kansas City in addition to her coaching duties.
