MORE GROWING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TENNIS IN LOSS TO FRIENDS

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Back on home court for the first time in nine days, the young Avila tennis program continued to grow on Monday with a 6-1 women's loss and a 7-0 men's loss to Friends at the Plaza Tennis Center.

The #3 men's doubles team of Brady Darr and Aidan Vandergrift lost 6-1 while five of Avila's six men's singles matches picked up at least one game in their competitive losses.

Avila women notched a point with a forfeit loss in #3 doubles with Kylee Norris and Ava Healy picking up the default victory. Additionally, Alaeyah Chleborad also recorded a default win in #6 singles.

Healy kept it very close in her #4 singles match, losing 6-4, 6-1, while Kylee Norris had the strongest singles match for the Eagles on Monday, narrowly falling 6-4, 6-4.

Danielle Jean-Louis also lost a close #1 singles match, 6-2, 6-2.

The Eagles will be back in action at the Plaza Tennis Center on Thursday versus McPherson at 2 PM.
