VOLLEYBALL SEASON ENDS ON SENIOR DAY TO MCPHERSON
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On a day where Avila volleyball celebrated its two seniors, the Eagles saw their season come to an end at the hands of the team tied at the top of the KCAC standings, McPherson, 3-0.
Paige Huhman and Chelsea Schatzer both played in their final collegiate match in the loss to the Bulldogs and were honored on the court after the match with their families.
In the match, sophomore Maddie Jones finished with 11 kills, ending her season with exactly 500 kills in her two-year Avila career. Jones also led the Eagles, hitting .211 on the afternoon.
Sophia Giorgio (18) and Daphne Gardner (17) both finished with double-figure digs in the match.
Avila finished its season at 9-22 (3-10 KCAC). The Eagles nine wins surpasses last season's win total and with only two seniors departing, Avila volleyball is set up for success in 2025.
