
MADDIE JONES NAMED ALL-KCAC THIRD TEAM
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a standout sophomore campaign, Avila outside hitter Maddie Jones was named to the All-KCAC Third Team, as voted on by the conference's women's volleyball head coaches, the KCAC announced today.
The sophomore from Aurora, Colo., finished her second season in an Avila uniform setting career-bests in nearly every statistical category compared to her freshman season.
Jones played in 30 matches, picking up 280 kills and 169 digs, while also adding 25 assists and 21 service aces. Jones’ 280 kills brought her to an even 500 for her collegiate career.
Jones’ biggest match of the season came in a come-from-behind five-set with over Sterling at Mabee Fieldhouse on Oct. 18. The sophomore had a season-highs with 25 kills and 17 digs to go along with a .217 hitting percentage.
The Eagles increased their win total by two year-over-year and won four more games at Mabee Fieldhouse in 2024 than they did in 2023.
